As both leagues come to a close for 2010, the signings this week were light. A pair of starting pitchers, Joe Saunders SP ARI and Tim Stauffer SP SD, have been okay lately and should provide some help. A.J. Ellis C LAD sports a 1.304 OPS over the final month, making him a solid value for late-season C at-bats. Other players added include Jonathan Herrera 2B COL, Wilson Valdez SS PHI, and John Bowker OF PIT. None of these guys are especially enticing, but Herrera has had a nice stretch lately, Valdez has seen more action with Jimmy Rollins ailing, and Bowker is seeing playing time and flashing a little power.
