Round 16 or later is the right time to roster Washington as a back-up fantasy WR, though I wouldn't target him, personally, given his team and injury situation. 40-650-3.
Positives / Upside Despite a slightly hard passing schedule overall, Weeks 15-16 (MIA, SD) look good. He's a good deep threat but not a great PPR guy.
Negatives / Downside Injury will likely delay his effectiveness until around Week 3. Even though Albert Haynesworth is no longer a Titan, and the team may attempt a few more passes this year, they're still a run-first, defense-oriented team. The numbers of the receivers will certainly be inconsistent. You never know when a player might fail to fit in on his new team.

Draft Position 190

Washington recovering slowly
written by DaveGawron, September 03, 2009
Nate Washington strained his hamstring on August 24 and is not expected to contribute substantially until several weeks into the season, making him more of an in-season waiver wire selection than a draft day selection. "I think for the most part the coaches and the training staff pretty much know where I’m at and how good I am feeling or how bad the outcome of it may be if they rush me back," Washington said. "I am just going to continue to do what they tell me to do and everything they tell me to do I am going to try and do two times better."
