Jackson offers a fantastic combination of size (6’5” 240 lbs) and speed, but it was only last season, his fourth in the NFL, that he truly became a relevant fantasy wide receiver, upping his receptions from 41 in 2007 to 59, yards from 623 to 1,098, and touchdowns form 3 to 7. We’re not sure if he’ll do much better than that this year, with LaDainian Tomlinson and Antonio Gates still demanding so many touches in the offense. Jackson is a reasonable pick as a fantasy WR2 in the fourth or fifth round. 70-1200-7.
Positives / Upside The San Diego offense is good overall and will gain yards and score points.
Negatives / Downside Though Philip Rivers has developed into an elite quarterback, the Chargers do have a tough passing schedule in 2009, so that doesn’t help. Vincent will have his share of big games, but also several duds, and you can never be sure which result will occur in which week.
Recommendation Buy at cost
Draft Position 42

Vincent practiced Monday
written by DaveGawron, January 12, 2010
Jackson has an Achilles issue but practiced with it on Monday. A bigger concern is being blanketed by Darrelle Revis in the Divisional Playoff Game this weekend. However, Revis may be used on TE Antonio Gates, so Jackson has a chance. Follow the injury news and feel free to use him if healthy. Just beware the Revis factor.
