Cotchery is a pretty good pick as your fantasy WR3 or 4 in Round Seven or Eight, though he carries both upside and downside and pretty certain inconsistency given the quarterback situation and rise to #1 target. 75-900-4.
Positives / Upside He should get plenty of targets. Pretty neutral passing schedule.
Negatives / Downside He will certainly be inconsistent given the Jets quarterback situation (low-end option Kellen Clemens or rookie Mark Sanchez). Could have trouble with double coverage with Laveranues Coles out of town. Tough fantasy playoff schedule (@TB, ATL, @IND in weeks 14-16).
Recommendation Buy at cost
Draft Position 75

Cotchery should return in Week 8
written by DaveGawron, October 28, 2009
Cotchery made it through the Wednesday, October 28 practice with no problems and looks to play in Week 8. If indeed healthy, he's a decent fantasy play against a weak Dolphins secondary.

Cotchery might miss Week 6 game
written by DaveGawron, October 14, 2009
He hinted in a recent radio interview that he might sit out this week's game. David Clowney filled in well enough last week, and the team might not need to pass much this week anyway against the lowly Bills. Plus, with Braylon Edwards in town, the team can get by without Cotchery this week.

Cotchery might miss Week 5 game
written by DaveGawron, October 10, 2009
Cotchery's fantasy owners would be wise to look at other options this weekend, as it looks like Cotchery might sit out his Week 5 Monday night game against the Dolphins. As far as Braylon Edwards coming to town, yes, Edwards will steal targets, but Edwards is more of a deep man and Cotchery more over the middle, so given their different styles, Cotchery's value doesn't go down much.
