Stewart will back up DeAngelo Williams in 2009, as he did as a rookie last season. They began last year splitting reps, but Williams pulled away before long. The Panthers are such a dynamic running team that Stewart will still score enough touchdowns and gain enough yards to be useful in fantasy. However, he will definitely have his dud games, and you can never be sure when they will come. For instance, he had a four game stretch last year where his carries and yards were 8-10, 7-21, 15-130, and 5-15. For what it’s worth, he was a better bet at home than on the road. If you’re looking for running back depth in the fifth round, there are worse picks. I'd like him in Round 8, but somebody in your league will take him sooner. 180-800-9-10-50-0.

Positives / Upside	Big, tough, fast runner. Run-first team attitude. Decent enough defense. Nice early-season schedule.
Negatives / Downside	Not a pass-catching back. Always seems to be battling nagging injuries. Back-up to DeAngelo Williams, so will have a few big games but many useless fantasy games. Tough late-season/fantasy playoff schedule.
