Gostkowski became an elite fantasy kicker in his third NFL season last year. While his extra point attempts dropped form an insane 74 in 2007 to 40 in 2008, his field goal attempts jumped from 24 in 2007 to 40 in 2008. One good sign of improvement was his success (10-for-12) from 40+ yards, so he could get you some bonus points in formats that award them. He scored more points than any other kicker last season, converting a career-best 90% of his field goals and all of his extra points. He is only 25 years old, and already has three years experience. Though the return of Brady could bump his extra point attempts back up and field goal attempts back down, he should still be one of the first kickers selected in fantasy drafts. Let somebody else take him though. You could do almost just as well taking a kicker many rounds later than Gostkowski's current Round 11 ADP. 139 points.
