With some luck, someone in your league will pay for Wells' 3.05 ERA, but it probably shouldn't be you unless the value is too good to pass up. He puts too many runners on and relies on his defense too much for fantasy owners to expect a similar ERA, his biggest asset last season, and he provides little to get excited about in other categories. 12-0-4.40-1.28-110 in 180 IP

Positives / Upside	Wells came a bit out of nowhere to produce a tremendous 2009 campaign that included a sparkling 3.05 ERA and 12 wins. His numbers were especially good in the first half; it's possible he wore down a bit as the season progressed. With some experience under his belt, Wells could be set to build on his strong 2009.
Negatives / Downside	Unfortunately, the Cub pitcher's peripherals suggest a fair amount of regression is likely in store in 2010. He allowed a hit per inning and his strikeout rate of 5.7 SO/9 was a little low. If he can't find a way to miss bats with more regularity, his ERA will jump, becoming as pedestrian as his other numbers.
