Perkins is the prototypical back of the rotation Twins starter given his low walk and strikeout rates. He was brought up as a reliever, so to see him have some success as a starter is a positive. His strikeout numbers could rise given the fact he struckout more than a batter per inning during his minor league career.

Negatives / Downside	184 IP in '08, previous career high was 126 IP in '06, and only 47 IP in '07. A low K rate 4.4 K/9 and a 1.5 HR/9 rate are also working against him
