The danger of promoting someone early is that in the hot lights of the mother club they get into bad habits. It's fairly clear that Headley, by being rushed got into very bad habits at the plate, the high, but not unreasonable K rates of his minor league career turned into nearly a strikeout in every three at-bats in 2008. He shored that up a bit in 2009 with 1:4, but it remains a concern.

Presumably Headley will be happier at 3B with Kevin Kouzmanoff now moving over to Oakland, but happier and easier are not synonymous. Time will tell. Headley was very poor in PetCo and that remains the largest stumbling block for Headley's fantasy value. .270-70-15-70-4. 525ABs

Positives / Upside	Moves to his natural position at third in 2010. With Jerry Hairston Jr. to spell Cabrera in the lead-off and perhaps a full year from Scott Hairston back from his brief stay by the Bay, Headly should have his first legitimate shot at big league success. .275-85-20-80-12. 550ABs
