Remember when Fukudome was supposed to be produce like Bobby Abreu? While he does boast a patient approach at the plate, none of his other numbers resemble Abreu's. After two seasons, it's safe to say they won't evolve to that point. We can comfortably expect the same kind of season from Fukudome - fringe average production across the board. In NL-only leagues, he does retain value as someone who should produce bulk stats by virtue of getting regular ABs. .260-75-10-50-5 in 500 AB

Positives / Upside	Fukudome is adept at getting on base - in leagues that value OBP, he has perhaps some overlooked value. He will start the season as the Cubs' regular RF - by virtue of being on base so much, he stands to score his share of runs as well.
Negatives / Downside	At this point, there seems to be little chance of Fukudome meeting the expectations that preceded his arrival in Chicago. He doesn't hit for much power, drives in only a modest number of runs, and he is an ineffective base stealer (6 SB in 16 attempts last year). His numbers don't portend significant decreases in his stats, but he also didn't make any significant progress last year that would encourage one to expect growth in 2010.
