If you're in a deep league, Diaz might be nice to have around as someone you can plug into the lineup when lefties face the Braves. Aside from that, it's probably best to not get overly excited about the bump in production in 2009. At 32, the odds are against him breaking out as a strong fantasy option. .290-50-10-45-8 in 350 AB

Positives / Upside	Diaz produced last year like a guy who deserves a chance to start everyday. In only 371 AB, Diaz hit .313 with 13 HR, and he even added 12 SB. In 2010, he'll have an opportunity to seize at-bats, particularly if Jason Heyward doesn't break camp with the big league club. Even if Heyward does make the team, Diaz should outproduce Melky Cabrera and earn most of the playing time in LF, which could lead to a bump in his numbers.
Negatives / Downside	Diaz has proven he can destroy left-handed pitching, but he is much more pedestrian against RHP. This will hinder his chances at finding enough AB to be a fantasy asset. Plus, as good as last year was for Diaz, both his BABIP and HR/FB rate were higher than his career averages, creating concern about what a correction in 2010 will look like.
