NFL - 2010 Fantasy Football Week 4 Wide Receiver (WR) Player Rankings
Posted by: ThePME
on Sep 26, 2010
We base our weekly rankings on the strength of opposing defenses overall, individual match-ups, and expected game situations (shoot-out vs. field-goal battle vs. blowout). They're based on the WCOFF/NFFC PPR scoring systems. Hopefully, for the most part, just looking at the rankings helps you figure out who to sit or start. We set the projections early in the week and then comb through them and make any necessary edits on Friday.
WIDE RECEIVERS
- Brandon Marshall v NE - The Pats aren't stopping anyone. And Marshall isn't just anyone
- Roddy White v SF - League's most targeted receiver has take that next step
- Randy Moss @ MIA - Averaging a TD a game. No reason for that to stop now.
- Austin Collie @ JAC - His number two coverage is leading to number one numbers
- Greg Jennings v DET - Deep play guy will get behind Lions' awful secondary
- DeSean Jackson v WAS - Is making huge plays every week. Redskins can be abused through the air
- Larry Fitzgerald @ SD - Fitz still topping the targets but Anderson has no accuracy
- Calvin Johnson @ GB - Packers can definitely be passed on
- Donald Driver v DET - About as consistent as it gets
- Jeremy Maclin v WAS - Four TD in three games with Vick
- Andre Johnson @ OAK - A big banged up and shut down by Nnamdi in last appearance. This is the lowest he'll every be ranked.
- Wes Welker @ MIA - MIA's slow linebackers will have some serious problems keeping over over the middle
- Reggie Wayne @ JAC - Starting to get left behind by Austin Collie
- Chad Ochocinco @ CLE - Good week for Ocho to get back on track
- Hakeem Nicks v CHI - Seven catches last week put any injury concerns at bay
- Louis Murphy v HOU - Love Murphy any time Gradkowski is throwing the ball
- Eddie Royal @ TEN - Only Bronco that can be counted on from week-to-week
- Mark Clayton v SEA - Clayton has evolved into a top-25 receiver
- Santana Moss @ PHI - Moss and McNabb's connection is highly surprising
- Malcom Floyd v ARI - Lack of running game helping
- Steve Smith (NYG) v CHI - He'll get the catches. Hopefully one is a TD
- Johnny Knox @ NYG - Knox is most involved among the Bears' WR
- Marques Colston v CAR - He'll eventually break out, but no TD is highly concerning
- Anquan Boldin @ PIT - One week after his softest match up, he gets his toughest.
- Michael Crabtree @ ATL - New OC needs to get him involved
- Brandon Lloyd @ TEN - Is it possible he could string together this many good weeks in a row?
- Terrell Owens @ CLE - All those targets should translate to catches this week
- Jacoby Jones @ OAK - If AJ gets Nnamdi, Jacoby could have huge game
- Mike Williams (SEA) @ STL - Healthy again. Looks to take advantage
- Legedu Naanee v ARI - He seems to be Rivers' favorite target
- Darrius Heyward-Bay v HOU - Starting to come around. Great sleeper
- Steve Smith (CAR) @ NO - Staying down the list until Clausen gets it together
- Hines Ward v BAL - Don't expect too much outside of PPR
- Derrick Mason @ PIT - Decent history against Steelers. And now without primary coverage.
- Steve Breaston @ SD - Should do his part
- Mario Manningham v CHI - Manning is getting everyone involved
- Lee Evans v NYJ - Relevant again with Fitzpatrick tossing it up
- Braylon Edwards @ BUF - No faith in him. But needs to be ranked
- Kevin Walter @ OAK - Has come through every week
- Devin Hester @ NYG - Doing his part to help your team every week
- Kenny Britt v DEN - Britt is a capable redzone threat
- Mike Wallace v BAL - Got flukey last week. Don't expect that again
- Lance Moore v CAR - Who knows, maybe Brees will ride the hot hand
- Danny Amendola v SEA - PPR sensation.
- Mike Thomas v IND - No faith that Garrard won't stink up the joint
- Devrey Henderson v CAR - Big plays could be coming
- Mike Sims-Walker v IND - Hardest player to project in all of football
- Jordie Nelson v DET - Loves getting involved in these shoot outs
- Pierre Garcon @ JAC - Still dealing with the hammy injury
- Jordan Shiply @ CLE - Could be enough to go around this week
