NFL - 2010 Fantasy Football Week 3 Defense/Special Teams (D/ST) Player Rankings

on Sep 19, 2010
We base our weekly rankings on the strength of opposing defenses overall, individual match-ups, and expected game situations (shoot-out vs. field-goal battle vs. blowout). They're based on the WCOFF/NFFC PPR scoring systems. Hopefully, for the most part, just looking at the rankings helps you figure out who to sit or start. We set the projections early in the week and then comb through them and make any necessary edits on Friday.
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS
- Pittsburgh Steelers @ TB - Steelers crushed TEN last week on the road. And the Bucs certainly are not the Titans.
- Baltimore Ravens @ CLE - Browns need to run the ball to have any hope. The Ravens are the best at stopping it.
- New England Patriots @ BUF - Come on. The Bills are averaging fewer than 10 points a game.
- Cincinnati Bengals @ CAR - Clausen starting at QB will allow CIN to stack the box.
- Minnesota Vikings @ DET - Allen and Co. will be all over Shaun Hill.
- Arizona Cardinals v OAK - Despite the shellacking last week, Cards should rebound at home. Also, they're playing Oakland. Always good news.
- San Francisco 49ers @ KC - Despite the 2-0 record, Chiefs offense is non-existent.
- New York Jets @ MIA - Downgraded with Revis out. Beware of Brandon Marshall in prime time.
- Miami Dolphins v NYJ - Jets offense scares nobody. Phins have only allowed 10 ppg.
- San Diego Chargers @ SEA - Looks good on paper, but SEA spunky at home.
- New Orleans Saints @ ATL - If they can stop run, they'll be great.
- Washington Redskins @ STL - Should be able to punish Bradford.
- Indianapolis Colts @ DEN - Colts excel at defending the pass. Moreno not good enough at carrying the game by himself.
- Tennessee Titans v NYG - Good defense should win out.
- New York Giants @ TEN - Young was turnover central last week.
