NFL - 2010 Fantasy Football Week 3 Tight End (TE) Player Rankings

on Sep 19, 2010
We base our weekly rankings on the strength of opposing defenses overall, individual match-ups, and expected game situations (shoot-out vs. field-goal battle vs. blowout). They're based on the WCOFF/NFFC PPR scoring systems. Hopefully, for the most part, just looking at the rankings helps you figure out who to sit or start. We set the projections early in the week and then comb through them and make any necessary edits on Friday.
TIGHT ENDS
- Dallas Clark @ DEN - Not a safer pick on the board
- Antonio Gates @ SEA - We knew Vincent Jackson’s absence would create more opportunities, but he’s been out of this world
- Visanthe Shiancoe v DET - Harvin’s banged up. Shiancoe’s about all the Vikes got
- Vernon Davis @ KC - Gates went wild in same match up in week 1
- Jermichael Finley @ CHI - Broke out last week. But still needs to develop some consistency
- Chris Cooley @ STL - The ‘Skins are going to throw and McNabb like looking for his TE
- Dustin Keller @ MIA - A proving week. MIA has been worst team vs. TE over last 3 seasons
- Brent Celek @ JAC - Uncertainly at QB knocks him down. More valuable with Kolb in the line up
- Todd Heap v CLE - Looks healthy and couldn’t ask for better match up
- Greg Olsen v GB - Made his limited work count last week. Needs a TD to retain value
- Zach Miller @ ARI - He has to break out one of these weeks, right?
- Kellen Winslow v PIT - Tough match up, but could pile up some catches. PPRers beware
- Tony Gonzalez @ NO - Really hasn’t done anything through two weeks
- Jason Witten @ HOU - Now splitting time with Bennett. What happened to you Jason?
- Brandon Pettigrew DET - One game with Shaun Hill. One useful day
- John Carlson v SD - 10 targets last week
- Jermaine Gresham @ CAR - Has 5 redzone targets through two weeks
- Owen Daniels v DAL - Still too injured to use right now. Do not drop him.
- Tony Moeaki v SF - Cassel’s favorite target right now. Unfortunately, that doesn’t say much.
- Heath Miller @TB - Where has he disappeared to?
