NFL - 2010 Fantasy Football Week 3 Wide Receiver (WR) Player Rankings
Posted by: ThePME
on Sep 19, 2010
We base our weekly rankings on the strength of opposing defenses overall, individual match-ups, and expected game situations (shoot-out vs. field-goal battle vs. blowout). They're based on the WCOFF/NFFC PPR scoring systems. Hopefully, for the most part, just looking at the rankings helps you figure out who to sit or start. We set the projections early in the week and then comb through them and make any necessary edits on Friday.
WIDE RECEIVERS
- Randy Moss v BUF - Good week for NE to pad Moss' stats and make him happy
- Andre Johnson v DAL - HE'S A MAN. And he's not even 40.
- Miles Austin @ HOU - 10+ catches in first two games
- Wes Welker v BUF - There's enough offense to go around
- Roddy White @ NO - 13+ targets in first two games
- Reggie Wayne @ DEN - Still the man in Indy with good match up. Sign me up
- Anquan Boldin v CLE - Going to establish himself with a huge week
- Brandon Marshall v NYJ - No Revis? That can only be good news
- Calvin Johnson @ MIN - Best is actually taking looks away, but also giving defenses someone else to key on
- Austin Collie @ DEN - Top 10 you ask? Well he's a top 10 guy so far this year
- Steve Smith (CAR) v CIN - Don't trust Clausen, but can he really be worse than Moore?
- Greg Jennings @ CHI - Always comes through in Prime Time
- Chad Ochocinco @ CAR - CAR can't stop anyone
- Larry Fitzgerald v OAK - Could draw Nnamdi. That's never good
- Jeremy Maclin @ JAC - 2 TDs in two games with Vick
- Hakeem Nicks v TEN - Tops among WR with 4 TD despite injury
- Eddie Royal v IND - Playing his way into line-ups everywhere
- DeSean Jackson @ JAC - Needs the big plays to be difference maker
- Mark Clayton v WAS - Top five in targets through 2 weeks
- Marques Colston v ATL - Top 5 potential, but still in cluster with the Saints
- Steve Smith (NYG) v TEN - Starting to worry, but still need to start him
- Donald Driver @ CHI - Two TDs in two weeks
- Santana Moss @ STL -Clearly McNabb's favorite target
- Malcom Floyd @ SEA - Garbage time TD saved his week. But they all count
- Terrell Owens @ CAR - Panthers' D not stopping anyone
- Hines Ward @ TB - Should be safest option for Batch/Leftwhich
- Dez Bryant @ HOU - WRs just killing Houston
- Derrick Mason v CLE - Flacco favors Mason over Housh
- Steve Breaston v OAK - Will benefit from strong coverage on Fitz
- Robert Meacham v ATL - Needs a TD to be valuable.
- Mike Thomas v PHI - Nice sleeper. Should take advantage of weak PHI secondary
- Dwayne Bowe v SF - Is sinking deeper into the quicksand that is Matt Cassel
- Legedu Naanee @ SEA - Big play potential against weak defense could be huge
- Michael Crabtree @ KC - Where have you gone?
- Kevin Walter v DAL - Now healthy and ready to be force again
- Mike Sims-Walker v PHI - if you start him, he'll be terrible. If you don't, he'll be a game changer. That's my MSW Theroy
- Louis Murphy @ ARI - Only if Gradkowski is starting
- Jacoby Jones v DAL - Schaub loves looking his way in the redzone
- Johnny Knox v GB - Safest of CHI WR
- Mike Wallace @ NYG - Has been pretty useless thus far
- Devin Aromashodu v GB - What happened last week? He'll rebound if he gets the reps
- Mike Williams (TB) v PIT - Hot streak coming to an end against Steel curtain
- Percy Harvin v DET - Hip is bothersome, but it's a great match up
- Danny Amendola v WAS - Sneaky PPR guy with pretty good match up
- TJ Houshmandzadeh v CLE - Doesn't have full grasp on playbook yet
- Mike Williams (SEA) v SD - Worth a flier
- Pierre Garcon @ DEN - Lost in Colts shuffle
- Brandon Lloyd v IND - Expect DEN to be down and throwing
- Demaryius Thomas v IND - Ditto
- Greg Camarillo v DET - Someone's going to make catches against DET
