5. Washington, Leon RB SEA played Saturday
He looked really good, rushing four times for 19 yards. His health creates a truly muddled backfield in Seattle, where Forsett and Jones will also demand touches. With Washington's apparent health, knock Forsett down a bit on your cheat sheet.
4. Hernandez, Aaron TE NE is looking good
He has been heavily targeted in the first two preseason games. Granted, it's preseason, but he is so talented, it looks like he's forcing Belichik to change his TE game plan. He's still just a TE2, but one to spend a late lottery pick on in deep leagues, or at least watch on the wire from Day One. He's intriguing in keeper/dynasty leagues, but remember how long it took Vernon Davis to develop, and we're still waiting for results from Jared Cook.
3. Shipley, Jordan WR CIN is having a tremendous camp
With Ochocinco, T.O., and Bryant in town, he won't do much for you in a re-draft league this season. However, those in dynasty leagues should take note. T.O. and Bryant could be gone by 2011, and Shipley could be a PPR machine. The kid very rarely drops passes.
2. Harvin, Percy WR MIN collapsed on Thursday
His migraine problems will apparently always be with him. He could still have a fine season, but he's a candidate to sit out any game last minute or leave if he gets one in-game. Therefore, we're not drafting him. Berrian is looking better and better.
1. Rice, Sidney WR MIN will miss half the season
He had hip surgery. He'll miss half, but he is basically no longer draftable unless you have deep rosters and can take him late and stash him. His loss also hurts Favre, as he was his favorite target. Bump up Shiancoe. Bump up Berrian again. Maybe consider Harvin in deeper leagues now, though he's still risky with those migraines.
ALSO
Greg Camarillo WR (MIA) was traded to MIN. MIN also signed Javon Walker. You really can't expect anything from Walker, but Camarillo could potentially be relevant as a fantasy reserve in deep PPR leagues... Rashard Mendenhall RB PIT will be featured more in the passing game this year. Bump him up a tad... Lance Moore WR NO is looking healthy so far. Knock Robert Meachem and Devery Henderson down a tad... Jermichael Finley TE GB is looking great. He has a shot at being mentioned with Dallas Clark and Antonio Gates after the 2010 season. Get him "cheap" this year if you can... Josh Freeman QB TB broke a finger and will miss pre-season time but should be fine for Week 1 of the regular season.
