By looking at our RotoCommunity Expert League bids, we can help you with your waiver wire considerations. Here are the leagues we're using as points of analysis (both weekly transactions, TC $1000 FAAB budget, U $100 FAAB budget):

Blanco, Gregor OF KC ($70 U, - drop Frazier, Jeff OF DET and $17 TC, - drop Breslow, Craig RP OAK)

Things have broken right for Blanco lately. First the Royals acquired him from Atlanta, where he sat well down the Braves depth chart. Then the Royals sent Jose Guillen to the Giants, opening up a job in the outfield for Blanco. Blanco lacks pop and isn’t likely to post a high average, but his speed gives him instant value in AL-only leagues as long as he is getting everyday at bats. Blanco is more of a fourth outfielder type, but he is worth an add in AL-only leagues due to his circumstances.

Tuiasosopo, Matt 2B SEA ($13 TC, - drop Patterson, Corey OF BAL and $0 U, - drop Fister, Doug SP SEA)

Seattle seems committed to finding out what some of their young players are capable of to the benefit of Tui and others. Tuiasosopo has found himself in the starting line-up more days than not and has been more productive as an everyday player. The average may still look bad, .154, but Tui is a good bet to be decently productive as the season winds down. Seattle has likely found a valuable utility man in the mold of Jose Oquendo for the future in Tuiososopo. He has played every position but pitcher and catcher this season, but as long as he keeps getting at bats, he is worth owning in AL-only leagues.

Moreland, Mitch OF TEX ($8 TC, - drop Wheeler, Dan RP TB)

A young kid with decent pop, a series of solid minor league lines, and regular at bats in one of the league’s premier line-ups? What’s not to like? Moreland is been playing just about everyday with Nelson Cruz on the DL, and has made the most of his opportunity. He is hitting .281 with four homeruns in just 48 at bats for the Rangers, and hit .289 with 12 homeruns in 353 at bats at Triple-A Oklahoma. Moreland is not considered a top prospect, and his at bats may dwindle when Nelson Cruz returns in early to mid September, but he is well worth an add in AL-only league in the short term.

ALSO

Pretty slow week… After a series of decent starts, Kyle Davies SP KC was added in Triple Crown. He is a decent add if you need a low end starter… Mark Teahen 3B CHW was picked up in Ultimate. He probably already should have been owned, so grab him if he is available in your league… Alex Avila C DET is getting regular at bats for the Tigers. He won’t hit much, but any catcher playing everyday has some value in AL-only leagues… Marcus Thames OF NYY was grabbed, but he doesn’t see enough at bats to be anything more than a solid fourth or fifth fantasy outfielder… Chris Sale SP CHW is an elite pitching prospect. He was picked-up, but he may not see the rotation until 2011. He is a must grab in keeper leagues, but nothing more than someone to file into the back of your head for 2011 in non-keeper leagues.
