KEY SUBTRACTIONS

NOTE: In other words, there really were no "key" adds or subtractions.

THE BIG QUESTION

After breaking the 2,000-yard mark, what can RB Chris Johnson do for an encore?

He went from 1,488 total yards in his rookie season to 2,509 total yards last season. Now his goal is the 2,500-yard rushing mark. Is he going to get there? Probably not, but he's got the talent to be the one closest to it again this season. The key is QB Vince Young, who in his fifth season, needs to show that he is more than just a speed threat who can throw a little -- he needs to show that he's a QB. If last year was any indication, then its heading in that direction. In 15 games in '07, he turned the ball over 20 times (17 INT, 3 Fumbles Lost). But last season, he only turned it over 9 times (7 INT, 2 Fumbles Lost) in 12 games. This will be the indicator-type year for Young, as since Mr. CJ2K is in the backfield and has a huge target on him, he will see alot of single coverage on the outside... However, the WR corps is not the strongest for Young to exploit that. WR Kenny Britt had a good rookie season in '09 (42-701-3), but there's not much past that, as the group is filled with secondary and unproven talent. Besides Britt, the other attractive fantasy option is TE Bo Scaife, who's a great option as a #2 or #3 TE on your roster.

ALSO

The one thing the Titans and fantasy owners have been able to rely on the last few years is their kicking game. In his first two seasons, K Rob Bironas missed a combined 12 FG attempts. However, in the last three seasons, he's only missed a combined 13 FG attempts, which includes an impressive 10 for 12 from 50 yards and beyond. There's no indication that he won't stop being dependable in '10... It looks like '10 third-round draft pick WR Damian Williams will be the team's punt and kickoff returner. At USC, he recovered nicely after two injury-riddled seasons. In the last two seasons, he showed that he can be a big-time playmaker (108 receptions, 12 TDs) who's elusive in the open field (4.47 in the 40-yard dash). But no matter if he came from USC or a small obscure school, its hard to estimate how good he'll be, but there is definite potential.
