5. Ming, Yao C HOU is recovering well

No target date has been set for his return, but he's apparently healing at a normal rate. Still, he's only worth a lottery ticket at the end of your draft. He has proven that his feet can't support his tall frame without getting hurt during the course of the NBA season.

4. Bass, Brandon PF ORL hopes for a bigger role

It's very possible that the Magic try to shake things up a bit and play Bass more at PF and Rashard Lewis at SF. We'll have to see how the off-season plays out, but Bass could be in line for more minutes in 2010-11, which could make him relevant as a depth player in deeper leagues.

3. Young, Thaddeus F PHI may start at PF

New coach Doug Collins announced that he may go with a small line-up this season, with Elton Brand at center and Sam Dalembert starting games on the bench. THis is obviously good news for Young, who could use the extra minutes as he continues to develop. It would move Dalembert down to the low-end fantasy C2 tier and potentially give Brand a boost, though he's been terrible in Philly.

2. Pekovic, Nikola C MIN is playing well in Europe

The Timberwolves hold his rights. Though they may give him another year in Europe, they could also trade away Al Jefferson or Kevin Love on draft day, opening up some front court minutes for Pekovic in the NBA.

1. Randolph, Zach PF MEM has been connected to a drug investigation

Lockers in a storage facility rented in Randolph's name and a car registered to Randolph were found to contain marijuana. Z-Bo's attorney denies any involvement, but this is obviously a situation to keep an eye on. Randolph had an unexpectedly great season in 09-10, so we'll see how this affects him in 10-11 (if at all).

Following up on last week's Hedo Turkoglu SF TOR depression note, he now seemingly wants to negotiate a buy-out in order to leave the Raptors. Stay tuned.
