5. Ginn, Ted WR SF continues to drop the ball
He could even fall to WR4 for the 49ers if he keeps this up. I feel okay writing him off in fantasy leagues at this point. Let somebody else take a chance on him, not you.
4.Forte, Matt RB should get twice as many touches as Chester Taylor in CHI
They are both learning a new offense, so they're even in that respect. Forte will get the first crack at the lead job, but he needs to run more like he did in 2008. If not, Taylor could take the lead. It's definitely one of the key situations to watch in the pre-season in fantasy. If Forte looks strong, then he's one to get. If Taylor comes at a nice discount, then he's one to get.If both come at decent prices, then nabbing both is not a bad idea, assuming they both look good in the pre-season.
3. Coffee, Glen RB SF added weight in the off-season
Gore owners needs to see who wins the battle to be his back-up. Coffee was unimpressive last year, and the rookie Dixon needs to work on his pass blocking. Whomever wins needs to be drafted late as Gore's hand-cuff.
2. Cutler, Jay QB CHI likes the Mike Martz system
Watch the pre-season closely. If Cutler performs well in this system, you have to move him up in your quarterback rankings. If you draft him, you have to draft a second quarterback right after him just in case, but he could have his best year as a pro this season in this system if he could just limit his interceptions.
1. Finley, Jermichael TE GB wants to be the #1 TE in the NFL
He has an excellent work ethic and awesome talent, but he's not quite the absolute best yet. Still, you should feel confident drafting him around overall pick number fifty or so, after Clark, Gates, Davis, and Witten go.
ALSO
Brandon Marshall WR MIA apparently had an undisclosed surgery this week. The team seems unconcerned, as he should be good to go for training camp, but we thought you should know anyway, for the sake of being informed. Marshall should have a good year in Miami... Watch the progression of Charlie Whitehurst QB SEA in the pre-season. If he develops, and the Seahawks are out of it by mid-season, it could be the end of the line for Matt Hasselbeck in Seattle... Carlton Mitchell WR CLE is a name to tuck away in deep leagues. The rookie has the size and skills to work himself into some targets as the year progresses, with only Massoquoi, Robiskie, and Stuckey ahead of him.
