5. Holt, Torry WR NE could surprise people

He is not the player he once was, but stranger things have happened than Tom Brady making use of a veteran wide receiver. If Wes Welker begins the season on the PUP, many will look to Julian Edelman to pick up the slack, but see how Holt fits into the team during the pre-season. If he looks good, don't forget about him towards the end of your deep-league draft. And also keep an eye on the pre-season of Brandon Tate, who could be an exciting player if healthy.

4. Wallace, Seneca QB CLE will contribute

Even if Jake Delhomme opens the season as the starting quarterback in Cleveland, Wallace will apparently still see the field often in the wildcat package with Josh Cribbs. It's just something to keep in mind in deep leagues where you have to start two quarterbacks.

3. Bess, Davone WR MIA will likely play the slot

Brandon Marshall will be the team's main wide-out, with either Greg Camarillo or Brian Hartline lining up on the other side. Being a running offense in the first place, Bess won't be putting up many fantasy-worthy games in 2010. Still, in deep PPR leagues, he may end up being a bye-week replacement option, so see how the targets over the first few weeks of the regular season.

2. Meachem, Robert WR NO had toe surgery

He should be back for training camp, but with his injury history, they will likely limit his reps in August. Still, he has good fantasy potential in that high-powered offense. This shouldn't affect his value on draft day.

1. Norwood, Jerious RB ATL suffered a minor injury

Norwood is very injury prone. He who drafts Michael Turner in a deep league should also draft his back-up. Monitor Norwood and Jason Snelling through August to figure out who that will be. Our bet is on Snelling, as Norwood is so injury prone.

ALSO

Alex Smith TE signed with CLE. He could split reps with Ben Watson there. While not being fantasy relevant, he could be a good addition for the Browns as they look for decent receiving options to spread the field for their running game.
