Below, we look at the happenings from the past week in the NBA and apply what we learn in order to assist us in our waiver wire moves and trades. Our Games-per-Week Schedule Grid is especially useful throughout the season, so make sure you download it, print it, and keep it by your side to consult for every decision you make. Personally, I like to take a blue highlighter and "blue out" the column for the current week each Tuesday as to easier see the good and bad stretches on the horizon.

TOP FIVE PLAYER NEWS BITS FROM THE PAST WEEK

We tell you whether you should ADD, WATCH, IGNORE, or DROP the player based on the recent news and upcoming schedule. When you see something like 4-3-3-4 referring to the upcoming schedule, each number refers to games per week with the upcoming Monday as the starting point. A "shallow" league is 130 players deep. A "deep" league is 154 or more players deep.

5. Lee, Courtney SG NJ

Better late than never, I guess. We touted Lee as a potential sleeper in the pre-season and again at the All-Star break, and it looks like he's finally arrived. Do we trust him completely? No. But in deep leagues at least, ADD the man if you need scoring (games of 30 and 25 points this past week) and threes (2.3 per game lately).

4. Hill, George PG/SG SA

We told you about Hill a couple of weeks back, so hopefully he's already on your roster. If not, and he's still available in your shallow league, ADD him now. He has proven that he's worth having on your bench even when Tony Parker is healthy, but now that Parker's out, Hill is worth having in your line-up in any league for points, threes, and assists.

3. Hill, Grant SF PHO

The original G. Hill has something to say, as he has apparently found the Fountain of Youth. Over the past week, he has averaged over 21 points per game plus 8 rebounds and 5 assists. He has surely been in line-ups in deep leagues, but shallow-leaguers should ADD him and use him down the stretch. Do note that he has a light (3-3-4-3) upcoming schedule.

2. Beaubois, Rodrigue PG/SG DAL

Unfortunately for h2h leagues, the Mavs only play two games next week. That being said, in leagues where you can change your line-up daily, ADD him, as he'll give you two good games next week while regular starter Jason Terry remains on the sidelines.

1. Andersen, Chris PF DEN

Andersen becomes a nice source of blocks and rebounds with Kenyon Martin out of the line-up for a while. However, Andersen has a sore knee himself, so just be wary of that before turning to him for a full week during your fantasy playoffs.

ALSO

Rasual Butler SF/SG is on a bit of a hot streak, so ADD him despite the light LAC schedule (3-3-4-3) down the stretch for points plus some threes and a few blocks thrown in... Delonte West G CLE played some nice games with LeBron James out of the line-up, but beware a decline when James returns Friday night. West should still be good to use for deep-leaguers in need of assists, however.
