5. Coles, Laveranues WR was released by CIN
He is no longer a starting NFL wide receiver. His fantasy value is gone in all but the deepest of leagues, and he'll only have value in those if he lands in the right situation.
4. Randle El, Antwaan WR was released by WAS
Randle El has a shot at being a semi-productive NFL WR2 if he signs into a passing offense. He could serve as a decent reserve in deep fantasy leagues, so keep tabs on his eventual landing spot.
3. Pennington, Chad QB will remain with MIA
It's even possible that Miami wants him to start for them this season so the young Chad Henne can learn from the sidelines. It's a situation to monitor.
2. Olsen, Greg TE CHI may be traded
Good, he needs to get out of Dodge now that Mike Martz in in town. Martz has never used his tight end in the passing game. Olsen is one of the best pass-catching tight ends in the NFL.He could be a Top 5 TE if traded to the right team.
1. Sproles, Darren RB is likely to remain with SD
They placed a first- and third-round tender on him. His fantasy value depends on what else the Chargers decide to do at RB. He'll need to be their third-down back and catch a bunch of passes to be usable in PPR leagues, as he won't score touchdowns.
ALSO
The Jets D/ST improved, as they traded for CB Antonio Cromartie. He'll team up with Revis to form a nice duo in the Jets' secondary... Clinton Portis RB WAS is still viewed as a starter by his new coach. As a 2009 Portis owner, I'll be staying away in 2010, even if he comes at a discount. I just don't think he "has it" anymore. It'll be interesting to see who the Redskins use as his back-up, as they just released Ladell Betts and Rock Cartwright... Coach McDaniels is supporting Eddie Royal WR DEN though he struggled mightily in 2009. He regressed after a phenomenal rookie year. He could end up being a late-round steal... QBs Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson are both likely done in CLE. They're both awful. This is good news for the CLE offense, as there's no place to go but up from those two... Roy Williams WR DAL may not win a starting job this season. His salary says that he'll be given every chance, but we say he's not likely to ever be a useful fantasy WR... Jared Cook TE TEN should play a larger role in the Titans offense this season. At best, he'd be a low-end fantasy TE2, but this is encouraging for Dynasty-leaguers holding onto him right now, as he still has a shot at being useful in 2012.
