In our grid, BOLD equals a stretch of weeks where 3 out of 4 weeks (or better) are 4-game weeks (a GOOD stretch), while italics equals a stretch of weeks where 3 out of 4 weeks (or worse) are 3-game or 2-game weeks (a BAD stretch).

USES OF THE 2009-2010 NBA GAMES-PER-WEEK SCHEDULE GRID

The BEST use of this grid is for deciding when to pick up free agents or cut marginal bench players in h2h or no-game-limit-per-position leagues. For example, Portland begins the year with a good stretch, so drafting a marginal player like Rudy Fernandez with one of your last picks is good, because you could use him early. In the right-sized league, he trumps someone like DJ Augustin because the Bobcats play just ONE 4-game week in the first 7 weeks of the season.

The NEXT BEST use is in picking your every-week players in h2h leagues. For example, if your playoffs run Weeks 22-24, when picking similar players, go with the ones with three 4-game playoff weeks instead of one 4-game playoff week (Durant over Granger, Tony Parker over Andre Miller, Bargnani over Aldridge, etc.).
